Something made me want a laptop after seeing Joann's one today. Toshiba, glossy white, sleek. I am so tempted to get one!
Settling down into a routine in NUS. I'm really glad I chose to take part in so many activities - can't imagine if I were to go to school plainly for lectures/tutorials and head straight home after that. Thank God for floorball and Sports Club. At least, floorball has kept me from nua-ing too much..I'm not aggressive enough in marking a person though, the seniors said I'm giving my opponents too much freedom and space. They kept harping on my aggressiveness, or rather, the lack of it. *sigh* I ought to have some of this in my own life as well. =)
So far its been fine, school work and all. Readings are fine, I understand what I'm doing most of the time..time is in my hands. Realised how sheltered I have been throughout from primary school all the way to junior college - the teachers to the admin work for you, teachers feed you with the necessary information which you have to score in major examinations, teachers inform and remind (and nag if necessary) you of the upcoming datelines to watch out for..all we have to do as students is to watch the rules, do our homework, and sit for examinations. University life is so different in a sense, you have to do everything yourself - watch yourself. Independent work is a must. It has placed a considerable distance between me and my friends, considering most of my close friends have gone to NTU/SMU, the rest in NUS take different modules from what I am currently taking. The school is so big, the timetable is so varied, chances are, I'll never see them around school, and even if I do, its only for a short "hi" and "bye" thing because everyone is rushing everywhere else to attend their classes.
Thank God for the group of friends I have found in NUS, despite knowing each other for only a short while. Yet the chemistry among us was so good, it doesn't matter anymore. But rest assured, old friends aren't forgotten. Time just doesn't permit too much interation between us, but you all do hold a special place in my heart. A place gained through lovely memories that we all shared together. =)
