Finally, I got to watch "Lord of the Rings". At longggg last. Anticipation beforehand was well, how do I put it? Thoroughly savoured. Apart from the ever so charming Legolas who counts how many he kills each battle, Frodo's smile at the end of the show...ahhh! Soo charismatic! Anyway. Battle scene gets better each time, especially the cumulative effect of armed troops. What was really intriguing was the way the movie was made - after an insight into The Making of The Lord of the Rings on CNA not long ago. Castles were merely models small enough to fit onto a table, landscape constructed through computer effects, sound effects, and of course, the make up. And Legolas...ooh. Then again, Aragon is worth swooning over as well. ahhhhh Alright, I shall stop.
Audience was good. No girls blatantly going "oh my god!" when Legolas steps into the scene, no talking/whispering among themselves; everybody was like intently watching the screen. Except for an exceptional irritating handphone ringing for quite some time.
But its sad to know that there will not be another sequel to look forward to in future. The amount of effort put into a total of about 10 hours worth of viewing pleasure will be left only in the memories of those who watched it, those who made it. Lord of the Rings will probably be another of those movies that will be marked in pages of history...for future appreciation. *sad* (No more Legolas. But that's another topic itself *grin*)
Terra Cafe freaking opens at 12.15pm and we were too early for lunch! Darrrrrrrrrrrrrrn. Sorry Daryl, looks like you couldn't taste that steak that was so highly recommended by me. Next time next time. *mumbles* In the end, settled for Swensens, *still thinking of Terra Cafe*ate salmon and mushroom baked rice. Mmmmm. Not too bad lah :P
Good thing I brought my nice huge bulky sweater, Plaza Singapura was so cold...nearly had a leg cramp sitting in the cinema for 3 and 1/2 hours..urgh. But it was definitely worth my Saturday. Discovered that its faster taking bus 518 home from PS, and not having to squeeze with the crowd in the MRT is simply lovelyyyy. And the weather's getting better these days, not as much rain anymore!
