My mother whipped up 8 different dishes for reunion dinner, all by herself.
Impressive.
There was steamed fish, roasted chicken, 3 different types of vegetables, chilli prawns, braised pig's trotters and lotus soup!
Every single dish was wiped out within 45 minutes. Good job, Mum!
Was just chatting with Huiping earlier on, and I realised my schedule is packed as usual, which was probably the reason why I was initially so grumpy about my 21st birthday plans. Wanted to celebrate with 3 different groups of friends, mainly floorballers, 25th and Neutrons and including a few from Kambing (sports camp groups)...but plans were clashing like mad. Sigh. Guess I'll just have to make do with meeting each group seperately. *sigh*
So here are my plans so far.
Tuesday - steamboat, mahjong at the West.
Wednesday - furry day! :)
Thursday - kickboxing (now now, do not laugh.)
Friday - 21st with the bears and you. :)
Saturday - 21st with the family, then 21st with 25th & Neutrons at Huiping's birthday party.
Sunday - Teach piano, game with Pinkies at Tampines Sports Hall at 8pm.
That leaves Kambing and the floorballers. Phew.
So much for birthday presents. As much as I'm hoping against hope that my family might just combine and buy me a digital camera, I think I'll just not expect too much.
Not to mention that corset from Topshop.
New spectacle frames.
Complete cut+colour+highlight+treatment from Storm.
Oakley Dartboards, or the likes.
Dang. I have such expensive wants.
Charm bracelets, ling-ling-long-longs on my wrist, more clothes, shoes...*sigh* I'm having a headache myself. Poor you readers. I sympathize deeply with you.
But I know at the end of it all, I simply just like receiving presents in a package because of the anticipation and thrill of opening them. Seems like I'm like the little girl I was back then. But at this age, and with my current busy schedule, celebrating my 21st seems to be more of an excuse to meet up with friends I haven't seen for a long time.
:)
