I swear professional and experienced bartenders are necessary for pubs.
I headed out to Gotham's last night, because MoS was so ridiculously crowded (that the queue stretched to the next building). Too bad K, the bartender that usually serves us, wasn't there tonight. All new faces, and the bartender who was serving me revealed that it was his 2nd day at work.
It took all of only 3 drinks to kill us. Poor guy puked so many times, I myself had to visit the washroom 3 times to flush out the vodka in my stomach. I've never puked so much in my entire life. Gross.
I wasn't drunk. Like damn it, I could walk in a straight line. With K, we could down up to 8 drinks and just feel a little high. Talk about alcohol poisoning. *grumbles* Those newbies sure don't know how to mix drinks.
Just waiting for MoS. Until that crowd (which probably came from the Zouk-ers) dissipates, I will want to wait along the buildings for 2 hours just to enter.
Meanwhile, JK's gonna cook for us during the mahjong session at Andrew's place!

Post Christmas was a season of eating lots of junkies. Can't seem to run that fast anymore. Sigh.
There's alot going through my mind, I suppose its time to introduce meditation into my training programme. Its no longer about physical ability (although it still is), the time has come for the mental to be trained, to be strong, to see me through 4 months of it all. Frankly speaking, I'm still struggling. Progress is discouraging, but I'm not losing hope.
That was why I had such a good ride out at Punggol Marina today.
If I had the money, I would wakeboard once every week, at least.
(Not to mention the driver was pretty cute. *winks*)
Terrence and Mark are back. Its good to see both of them again, and I delight in Terrence's company. Thank you so much for the Mini Absoluts. I love them!
Its really a pity I've got a busy schedule, I can't fit everybody in. I'm sorry, to those dears I promised to meet up soon, but never seem to have time to.
And a upcoming new year.
Somehow, I'm not looking forward to it.

Before Christmas truly ends,
Snowflakes fall, and all is white
Silvery mist, a lonely night
Bells ringing clear, Christmas is here
Card in hand, I read the name
Suddenly I'm young again
Thinking of how fate led me to you
Friends we were so long ago
You came into my life
Guiding me at every step
How you've grown
Smiling through my tears of joy
Wishing from my heart
All along that Christmas brings
to you a Merry Christmas.

I'm beat. So many consecutive days of floorball, with hockey thrown in from time to time..I strained my thigh muscle and after Bangkok it has still not recovered. *grumbles* Some kinda holiday this is.
Finally home. And I'm sure looking forward to Christmas Eve, for a couple of reasons.
Its gonna be a quiet and peaceful Christmas this year, no more countdown along Orchard Road, no more clubbing..just a simple cookout with a few friends. Sweet Christmas indeed.

Feels good to be home.
The break wasn't much of a break really, I felt just as bad as when I left Singapore on the 17th. The cough's still persistent, the nose is still running, sprouted a fever when I was there... *grumbles*
Argh. They tell me that the only way I can really recover fully is absolute rest, plenty of fluids and enough sleep.
Which means - skipping trainings, going back home to sleep (because there are renovations going on at my hall) and drinking water and more water. Un-cold.
How the hell am I gonna do that?
-----------------------------------------------------------
Ahh. But Bangkok was fun while it lasted, despite a few disaster moments where exhaustion overtook me.
Plenty of shopping (though I didn't buy much), plenty of walking, Thai massage, more walking, roadside food stalls, photos, clubbing, chill-out, nua-ing on the hotel bed.
'nuff said. Will post pictures up soon.

Meanwhile, training beckons.

Finally. Thailand beckons.
My very-much-needed break. Going for trainings with a runny nose and a stuffed, congested throat and a horrible cough that robs me of my breath is disgustingly tiring.
Defending with a pulled thigh muscle is worse.
The deep heat rub has became a hot favourite during water-breaks.
For the first time, when the coach asked, "you all still wanna play on?" I see heads shaking, downcast eyes - shack.
Flight's at 11am. Breakfast at Cartel at 8.30am.
The little things...
One week.
*sigh*

I cannot decide whether term time or holidays are better this year. It seems that I have more time on my hands during the term, as compared to the holidays.
I returned home for the weekend after 3 consecutive nights of fever, sore-throat, cough and runny nose. Floorball camp took place from Thursday till Saturday, but I skipped today's training because I was supposed to go for hockey pitch training. Then again, whatever training I planned to go was all futile because of the Runaway Nose and the Cough-that-didn't-allow-me-to-sleep-the-night-before. Oh, not to mention a horrible fever the night before.
So well, if she was to know that, perhaps she wouldn't be so quick as to judge me.
Still, I am sorry. I understand the pressure one has to go through as a leader, a teacher, a coach, a captain, a friend.
Oh, and floorball camp. The mind was (finally) willing, the body was not. Jumping into trainings everyday right after exams (when I had zero exercise) was truely punishing to my body.
Friday night was a nightmare. I never dreaded aircon so much, I yearned the cool refreshing air on my face as I stumbled out of Blue Oyster halfway through. The back of my throat tasted bile, I fought against the uncontrollable lurch in my insides. I was warm, I was cold; both at the same time.
At last. "Lights out."
His nose was an icicle to my burning cheeks, his motions a blur to my half-slits. I was the heater for tonight, yet there was a need for a comforter because I felt so cold. I barely remembered the night, save for his hands holding the cup of water, the herbal soothing molten liquid, his fingers pressing out a Panadol pill.
All was so short. Just like the past 2 weeks. I woke up to my coughs, and an empty chair.
At least, I had a great Thursday training.
4 more days. I can't wait. =)
And a week more to Thailand. After which it will be a week of not seeing you at all.
It will be Christmas by then.
Time flies. Too fast.

Exams ended on Tuesday.
Here's what I've been doing.
Tuesday
Paper ended at 11am. Reached back room about 11.40am. Took a nap till probably 3pm. Nua and played games until 6+pm, grabbed hall dinner and headed out.
The Exorcism of Emily Rose; 9.30pm show - Good movie indeed. I must say I was pretty spooked out and didn't dare bathe alone..had to call my beloved neighbour to chat with me in the toilet. The contortions of Emily Rose's face and body was what scared me to bits I guess. Not to mention her original look was pretty scary already. Good show, go catch it.
Supper at Coffee Club Express - I met Ben and Kelvin!!! Oh goodness those two are how funny now... (and metro). I had a very nice Cheesy Mushroom Pie. Yummmm!
Meet the Fockers; DVD; 3am - Had to forget how spooky the show was, so up came the comedy. ;)
Wednesday
Wakeboarding at Punggol.
Chillin' at Gotham Penthouse; 11.30pm - Yes its Gotham's for me again. Drinks for that night? Hmm, Ladies Night - free flow Vodka..
Vodka Lime (bartender made it so bloody strong)
Vodka Orange (dry)
Vodka Citrus (dry)
Laughing Buddha (house receipe - a MUST TRY ladies drink!)
Pina Colada (with Malibu)
Plenty of ladies drinks..sweet but fantastic. Was having fun watching a group of Caucasians chillin' out at the other end of the bar counter, its like one guy to 4 ladies...and everybody goes for the blondes first!
Thursday
Met up with Mingzhen and Yiwei, played pool and all...though I'm still aching like mad from wakeboarding...super tight muscles and everything. Ugh.
And below are the pics from during-exams..Andrew's new Canon Ixus i made us all photosluts. *grin*
Tonight got hockey. Whee!
